“Rhonda Parker Taylor’s book keeps readers engaged in not only Paris’s personal life, but also the world of murder, tragedy, death and the hope for justice, keeping you literally at the edge of your seat and wondering what the outcome will be.”
Golden Globe-nominated American Actress and Author Mariel Hemingway.
“Crossroads is a very interesting and well developed thriller. As soon as I started reading it, I felt trapped by the plot and the particular way of being of the main protagonist of this story.
It is a story full of mysteries and tragedies that mixes the active and positive life of Paris with the darkness and dangers it faces.
I really enjoyed the novel; it is an easy and light read, and the story develops in a very original way. I found the characters built very professionally and meticulously and the scenes built by its writer made me fall into the story quickly.
I recommend it for those who choose to read suspenseful stories.”
Dan86 - A good read
“Rhonda Parker Taylor's Crossroads wasn't exactly what I expected, but that's not always a bad thing. Sometimes, it's good to be surprised, which was the case with this book. It's not a jump-right-into-the-deep-end type of suspense thriller. Instead, it builds slowly, so I suppose you could call it a slow-burn suspense story. Normally, that slow start would be a drawback for me, but the author shapes her characters in a way that makes them totally relatable. Even when she was just going about her workday, Paris is a character I can understand. So much so that well before there's any real suspense, I was curious enough about what would happen with Paris to keep me turning the pages. It was the same with the rest of the characters. I liked some and disliked others, but they were all very well done - the type of characters you don't forget. The book is well written, and the story is entertaining. This is my first time reading this author's work, but she's now on my radar. I enjoyed the read, and I'd recommend it.”
Momma Becky - Relatable characters
“This book is extraordinary. Just when I thought there was nothing else left to explore that would really and truly interest me, along comes an author with a new perspective of things and offers me this incredible read with scenes and places depicted in an exquisite way.
Throughout the book, author Parker Taylor draws on his vast experience as a writer, he crafted an immersive narrative and allows us to enjoy a fantastic women’s detective fiction. He did a fabulous job of making the reader feel connected to the characters. They had so much personality, and the sarcastic banter between many of them is pure genius. I have enjoyed it a lot..”

Amazon Review- Great book!
“Crossroads, the first book by author Rhonda Parker Taylor, is a captivating crime novel that will keep you intrigued from start to finish. With a bevy of characters, some likeable and some not so much, the book explores murder, career/life balance, friendship, betrayal, and a little bit of love. Paris Pennington is a protagonist that you find yourself rooting for from start to finish, even as those close to her mysteriously fall. A well-written suspense novel you’ll have a hard time putting down.”
